Important Announcement Regarding the Spruz Classic Platform

On December 31, 2020, we will be sunsetting the Spruz Classic Platform (v1.0) on the Spruz.com website in favor of our new platform (Spruz v2.0) on Spruz.net. If you are currently using Spruz Classic, we recommend that you migrate to Spruz 2.0 soon to take advantage of the new and improved platform.

NOTE: All active websites on the Spruz Classic platform will continue to be operational after the sunset date in order to allow sufficient time for customers to migrate to the new platform; however, some functionalities may no longer be fully functional due to the discontinuation of the Adobe Flash plug-in beginning January 2021. If you have not done so, we recommend that you begin migrating to the new platform by signing up for an account on our new website (https://www.spruz.net).

How do I know if I am using the Spruz Classic Platform?

Any website with the spruz.com domain (or custom domains that point to a website with the spruz.com domain) was created with the Spruz Classic Platform. By default, websites created with the Spruz 2.0 platform will have the spruz.net domain

Why is Spruz sunsetting Spruz Classic?

In the Summer of 2019, we officially launched Spruz v2.0 with a focus on improved performance and security and incorporating advanced functionalities for your website. Additionally, the new platform is not dependent on Adobe Flash plug-in, which will no longer be supported by the major browser vendors (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge) beginning January 2021.

How can I migrate to Spruz 2.0?

Sign up for an account on the new Spruz 2.0 platform by navigating to https://www.spruz.net. Our Migration Specialist can assist you with migrating some of the content from your existing site to the new platform (e.g., blogs, discussions, fiiles, photos, videos). Note that some changes may be required when migrating due to differences between the two platform. We recommend that you use this opportunity to get started with migrating to the new platform as soon as possible.

What happens if I don't migrate before the sunset date?

If you don't migrate to Spruz 2.0 by the sunset date, you and your visitors will still be able to access your website. However, certain features on your site (e.g., uploads) may not function correctly. All websites on the Spruz Classic platform should only be used for migration-related activities after the sunset date.
